The Department of Information Technology was established on the initiative of the President of the International Humanitarian University Serhii Kivalov on the basis of the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Computer Science
Specialties provided by the department
The Department of Information Technologies trains specialists at the first (bachelor's) level and the second (master's) level in the following specialties:
▪ 121 Software engineering
Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of information technology capable of solving complex problems and practical problems of designing, developing and testing software systems, and possessing modern methods of developing and maintaining software for various purposes.
▪ 125 Cybersecurity
Training of highly qualified specialists capable of using and implementing information cybersecurity technologies. A characteristic feature of this program is the opportunity for in-depth study of disciplines devoted to the security of information and telecommunication systems, software and information protection.

Research interests: Research of analytical splines in areas with quasiconformal boundary, application of spline and wavelet apparatus in communication theory, tensor analysis for solving telecommunication problems. He founded the scientific school "Theoretical foundations of infocommunications based on tensor analysis, spline and wavelet functions".
Author of 303 publications, including: 10 textbooks (including 6 textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2 textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, 2 textbooks), 8 monographs (including 1 published abroad and 7 chapters in 3 Springer books), 64 teaching aids, 90 articles, 127 abstracts and materials of international conferences, 4 patents of Ukraine for invention.
