Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science was established on the initiative of the President of the International Humanitarian University Serhii Kivalov on the basis of the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Computer Science.


The Department of Computer Science trains specialists who have professional competencies in the field of computer science and information technology, are in demand and competitive in the labor market in the IT and telecommunications industries. The training of IT specialists takes into account all modern requirements of stakeholders, and implements the best European practices and international standards.


The staff of the Department of Computer Science consists of highly qualified teachers who are fluent in the material of the disciplines, have practical experience and have completed internships at foreign universities, and are fluent in English.


The Department of Computer Science trains specialists at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels in the following specialties:
▪ 122 Computer Science,
▪ 172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering (Educational program "Computer Networks and the Internet").
The content of the disciplines taught at the department is based on the training of future specialists in computer science and telecommunications.

Disciplines taught to students majoring in 122 Computer Science: "Scripting languages", "Organization of databases and knowledge", "Python - programming", "JavaScript - programming", "Cross-platform programming", "Technologies of distributed systems and computing", "Methods and systems of artificial intelligence", "Data mining", "Data mining tools", "Programming for mobile platforms", "Machine learning". Considerable attention in the training of specialists is paid to the study and practical application of the competencies of the elective disciplines "Computer Design", "3D Modeling", "Animation and Rendering", "Motion Design", "Video and Image Processing". Some of the courses provide knowledge of Web technologies and Web design, including such elective courses as UI/UX design, Front-end and Back-end development. The educational program has elective courses that provide knowledge of modern network and computer technologies: "Computer Networks, Microcontroller and Internet Things Programming.


Disciplines taught to students majoring in 172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering (Computer Networks and the Internet): "Telecommunication and Information Networks", "Wireless Networks and IoT Networks", "Information Security in Telecommunication Systems", "Programming Technologies and Databases", "Python Programming", "Web Technologies and Web Design", "IP Network Technologies", "System Administration of Computer Networks", "Digital Signal and Image Processing", "Mobile Communications", "Internet of Things". The content of the disciplines is based on the formation of future specialists' knowledge of modern information and telecommunication technologies, skills of competent administration of computer networks and basic skills in programming and information security.
